Confessions...

So...I've been kind of a yoga drop out.  I did it for Week 1 & 2 - and have not done it since!

I need to get back on the ball with doing it.  I don't know why, I just have such a hard time getting myself motivated to do it!  I think part of it is that fact that its a 90 minute workout.  Yuck!  When I look thru other yoga pictures, and different poses, etc., I think its awesome that people have that kind of flexibility and posture.  I really want that for myself and I think it will benefit other areas too.

Week 7, Day 1 starts tomorrow.  I plan to be more strict with myself...workout wise and nutrition wise.  I don't care what it takes, but by the time I reach day 90  - I WILL be able to do Crane!

  1. Hey, thanks! Glad "stopped by" and let me know :) Week 7, my gosh, you're a vet . . . glad to know there is life well after Week 2(+1). Thanks for your site, I'll be checking in.

I hear on you the Yoga . . . still sticking with it, but man, I have to get all psyched up for it each time! What do you know, we both took the same picture (Crane Pose) for our Yoga posts (that's the one I used for Day 11: Sno Dei, http://callhimishmael.blogspot.com/2011/01/p90x-thought-stream-day-11-sno-dei.html).

Namaste, Bring it, X it, whatever, depending on what day you're on. Best, MTH

  2. I am a Yoga drop out too!! I just can't seem to find the motivation to stick with it....I think it's those darn downward dogs. I am gonna try it again tomorrow!

    Good luck with trying again!

P.S. Nutrition is the most difficult part....work in progress for me! Cheers to making it to day 90!

  3. I personally don't care for Tony as a yoga instructor. I find my Anusara yoga classes much more fruitful.

If you don't mind the power yoga style of yoga but just don't want to do an hour and a half of it, consider Patience Hummingbird or Fountain of Youth from the One on Ones. I know a lot of people do those instead.

If NEITHER suits you... consider a plain old beginner's yoga DVD! Gaiam has a good one, Rodney Yee's Yoga for Beginners. You can pick that up at most sporting goods stores or online for $12-14. That's what I started with!

  4. Me too! I actually love yoga, but 90 mins is just too much. i actually think that I am going to sub in a 60 min yoga DVD and call it even. I have only done the yoga tape twice as well and I am on week 4 where I am supposed to do it twice! I did xstretch yesterday, maybe just sub it in?
